Welcome to our Class Page!

We are the children in Reception.

Our class teacher is Mrs Allan.

Each morning we enjoy learning, exploring and playing together. Our love of books inspires the majority of our learning, and we use both our indoor and outdoor spaces when enjoying a variety of activities. Our teacher leads some of these activities, like Phonics, Writing and Maths, with all of us together or in smaller groups, and we lead some of these activities, following our own interests. We have so much fun!

Every afternoon we join Willow Class for our wider curriculum learning. 

Term 1

When we start school in September, we spend time getting to know each other, our school and new routines. Our teachers spend quality time doing this so that we feel safe, secure and ready to learn.

Term 2

Wow! What a busy term!

Highlights have to be a visit to the Bristol Old Vic to watch their Christmas Show, Little Red (and other winter tales) and telling the story of the first Christmas, titled 'The Sleepy Shepherd'.

Term 3

Getting into the swing of school, we are working and playing hard! Story time is definitely a favourite, and we particularly enjoyed our focus text 'Handa's Surprise', where we tasted and described fruit from the story.
