Collective Worship
At Wraxall we have a daily Collective Worship. This could be lead by Rev. Fran, Miss Townsend our headteacher, our class teacher or other staff within school. Every Friday we have a special celebration service too where certificates are presented to the children who have been nominated as 'Stars of the Week' for their class. Sometimes we have other guest speakers or visitors who are part of our inspirational speakers programme. These encourage the children to reflect on the school values and consider how they can be applied in every day life.
We also have special Collective Worship's that take place throughout the year at key points in the Christian and School calendar. These include a welcome service for our new school starters, Harvest, Easter, Christmas, Y6 Leavers, End of Year Awards ceremony and Remembrance.
Our children are becoming increasingly involved in leading Collective Worships, especially our Ethos committee who will lead a Collective Worship each term linked to the value for the term.
They plan and prepare the content, welcome, music and song and the prayer and reflection.
We have a Collective Worship policy which explains the features of Collective Worship at our school.
